The Flourish paintings are composed of fluid, gestural marks and colours. They are intentionally looser than the Tally Paintings as the marks are less restricted, the paint is thinner and the application more varied.

There is a loose form within the composition, radiating out from the centre as if an explosion or burst of motion.
